This hollow body arch top Gibson is a great jazz guitar. It has a single tone and volume control that gives a variety of sounds from the brightness of an es 335 to the deep mellow tones of the George Benson model. The neck has been professionally repaired and is very stable. There is no year indicator other than the numbers on the pots which seemed to date this guitar in the late 40's. Tuning key buttons have shrunk as typically seen for this year and model. All appears original including tortoise pick guard, black P 90 pick up, and floating saddle and nickle trapeze bridge assembly, 3 tone sunburst finish except there is no original case.
